In 2002, Phyllis Stack and her son Scott Stack opened Cornerways Residential Home for young adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Phyllis was always concerned as a parent with a child with physical disabilities what would happen when her son had grown into adulthood, and a fear who would care for her child when she could no longer do so?
From these fears Cornerways was opened.
Phyllis had the vision that her son and all individuals with disabilities should have the same opportunities and experiences as all and an enjoyable meaningful life. Phyllis always had the belief that the staff cornerways employed would give physical support and emotional support that every individual needs to achieve their full potential and to remember that this is there home and they are inviting you in to their life.
